Never a dull moment…
Alyssa and 'Sarah' |
Alyssa brought home the class stuffed animal for the weekend as a reward for her good behavior last week. ‘Sarah’ has gone out to eat, gone to Granny and Granddad’s house, taken a long nap while Alyssa went swimming and enjoyed a water balloon fight, read books and took a nap with Alyssa. Later today we’ll have to journal all about Sarah and Alyssa’s weekend so she can tell her class about it tomorrow. Alyssa is quite excited about Sarah.
Jackson's Big Boy Party |
Jackson has had a big weekend…it was potty training weekend! Darren went all out with the farm theme complete with a tractor field in the living room and a horse stall with ‘hay’ in the bathtub. Saturday morning, Darren and Jackson taught Jackson’s new doll “John” how to use the potty. Then Saturday afternoon onward it was Jackson’s turn. Sunday was a bit frustrating with a few accidents, but Jackson turned the corner last night when he started going on his own! We threw a ‘Jackson’s a big boy’ party yesterday with tractor cake. He loved it!
Matthew has still had a hard time eating this weekend, but I’m much more relaxed since we had the x-rays indicating no adhesions. I’ll be calling the pediatrician tomorrow morning to see if we can figure out what is going on. We now have to feed Matthew almost every hour and he still isn’t getting his full amount. Despite the poor feedings, Matthew has been in good spirits.
Matthew enjoying the show |
Darren and I got a rare night out on Saturday thanks to a dear friend who sat for us. It was wonderful, but it was hard to not talk about the kids. They don’t define us, but right now, they are all encompassing.
