Waiting
Matthew went to the pediatrician today…and yes, something is wrong. We don’t know what. In addition to his poor appetite, Matthew’s spleen is enlarged (more than last week) and now his liver is as well. Today we’ve done several blood draws, an eating stress test and 2 chest x-rays. We are currently awaiting word from the pediatrician on results and next steps. I’ve checked the clock twice to see if it has actually stopped because it feels like time has stood still while we wait. Prayers and positive thoughts for our sweet baby Matthew are always appreciated!

Hi Katie, 2 years ago a woman's son in my bible study had this same surgery done. He was about the same age as Matthew - he did very well with the surgery and had no complications. Prayers for all of you as you sort out Matthew's uniqueness. Wendy - friend of Carol Renn. Hope to see you at cookie making time this year.
